Selston Parish Council

Selston Council consists of 21 elected members representing all parts of the parish and headed by a Chairman and their contribution to parish life is entirely voluntary.

The work of the Council is carried out by the Parish Clerk who is also responsible for ensuring that the Parish Council fulfills its legal obligations and does not act beyond its powers. The Clerk is a paid employee. Selston Parish Council also employs an Assistant Clerk and a Responsible Financial Officer. The office at the Parish Hall is open Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 3.00 pm. The office will be closed on Wednesdays for the forseeable future.

Council meetings are generally held monthly, usually on the last Monday of every month at the Old Council Offices or Underwood Community Centre. Members of the public are welcome to attend and anyone wishing to address the Council can do so on any subject provided written notice is received by the Council. If you have any queries, please speak to the Clerk.
