Selston Parish Council

Selston Parish Council consists of 21 elected members representing all parts of the parish and is headed by a Chairman. Their contribution to parish life is entirely voluntary.

The work of the Council is managed by the Parish Clerk who is also responsible for ensuring that the Parish Council fulfils its legal obligations and does not act beyond its powers. The Clerk is a paid employee and  Selston Parish Council also employs an Assistant Clerk and an Office Administrator

The office at the Parish Hall is open:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – 9.00 am to 3.00 pm.

From 3 July 2019, the Parish Office will be closed on a Wednesday.

Council meetings are generally held monthly, usually on the last Monday of every month at one of the Parish Council venues. Members of the public are welcome to attend and anyone wishing to address the Council can do so, on items which appear on the agenda. If you have any queries, please speak to the Clerk.

JUSt Group - Neighbourhood Plan

Local communities now have the right (under the Localism Act 2011) to create their own Neighbourhood plan which gives them the opportunity to influence where a significant proportion of houses could be located and what local benefits these could bring. The Steering group for Selston’s Plan is JUSt – http://www.jus-t.co.uk/
